How we compare robot mowers
Where the figures come from
Every value in our tables comes from the manufacturer’s official European page, linked on each row ([src]). When the page does not give a value we write “n/a” instead of borrowing a number from another review. When two sources disagree (common for slopes), we keep the European manufacturer page and say so. Example: the Navimow i105E slope, 30% on the EU sheet and 45% in some reviews, discussed in our Navimow i105E alternatives.
Current database: 20 models, spec sheets checked on 10 October 2026, prices checked on 11 October 2026. Prices are manufacturer list prices on that date; they change often, always check with the retailer.
What we do not do (yet)
We have not yet tested these mowers on our own lawn. So we publish no score out of 10 and no “hands-on review”. Comparisons rely on spec sheets and explicit selection rules. Field tests, with photos and measurements, will be added model by model and dated.
Quiz rules
- Area: stated capacity ≥ your area × 1.2. Manufacturer areas assume ideal conditions; a 20% margin avoids a mower that never stops (worked examples: robot mower for 500 m², for 1000 m²).
- Slope: stated slope ≥ your slope. Undisclosed slope = model excluded as soon as a slope is entered. Percent vs degrees is explained in the guide to robot mowers for steep slopes.
- Trees and tall walls: only models with LiDAR or vision on top of satellite positioning are kept.
- No or uncertain 4G: models positioning through the network (network RTK, EPOS cloud) without LiDAR are removed. The terms of those services are recorded on the robot mower without subscription page.
- No antenna: only models whose manufacturer explicitly says no antenna is needed are kept (full list: robot mowers without an RTK antenna).
- Results are sorted by price, cheapest first. No commercial criterion is involved.
The same margin rule drives the “cheapest model from each brand by lawn size” calculation in our Navimow vs Mammotion comparison.
